L.A. County Officials Tour the Hub of Hope
On Friday, August 11, we were happy to welcome officials from Los Angeles County for a tour of our innovative Hub of Hope engagement center in the SEPTA concourse.
The intent of their visit was to determine how the Los Angeles metro system can replicate the Hub.
One of the biggest challenges at @metrolosangeles is how to better engage people experiencing homelessness on our system and get them the help and housing they need. @RexRichardson, @JDUPONTW and I are in Philadelphia to learn how @SEPTA reduced homelessness on their system. pic.twitter.com/Sb8rx9jftP

The “Hub of Hope” is a dedicated space in a @SEPTA station where people experiencing homelessness can come, rest, get help with basics like laundry or a shower, and where case workers and medical professionals can work with them.
It is the first hub like it in the country. pic.twitter.com/0M6VCtAhyk— Janice Hahn (@SupJaniceHahn) August 11, 2023
