With Gratitude from Project HOME
Dear Project HOME community,
As 2024 comes to a close and we welcome the year ahead, we take this opportunity to look back on all we have accomplished together. It was a year of important milestones and transitions for Project HOME, and we know we could not have accomplished any of it without the support and leadership of individuals like you. We’re so grateful for your ongoing belief in this work.
This year, I joined Project HOME as President and CEO. Assuming this role has been a defining point in my life and a full-circle moment. I have a lifetime of learning and experiences that have brought me to this position, and I come to work every day excited to partner with our entire Project HOME community.
I joined this community during a significant year of milestones:
- The celebration of our 35th anniversary where this community contributed $7.6 million to secure the future of our organization.
- The renovation and renaming of Christopher J. Seward Residence, formerly known as “1515,” our beloved headquarters.
And the conclusion of our Home is Where the Start Is comprehensive campaign – the most successful fundraising effort in Project HOME’s history. In less than five years, the campaign exceeded its goal, raising $130 million in private donations to secure an additional $127 million in public funds to grow and sustain this work.
A Few 2024 Highlights
Worthy of celebration—and perhaps, most importantly, honor—are the countless acts of courage, moments of kindness, and innumerable words of encouragement that help us all work toward what we continue to hope for—the end of homelessness in Philadelphia.
Project HOME is as strong as it’s ever been, and Sister Mary and Joan have left us well positioned for future success. I am overcome with gratitude, optimism, and hope for the future and know that, together, we are ready to meet the challenges we will face head on.
Sending much gratitude and hope for many blessings in the year ahead.
Until All of Us Are Home,
Donna
