When I Voted For Someone Who Looked Like Me

Peak Johnson

One of our talented teens has grown into a successful freelance writer and journalist.

Peak Johnson spent many years as a participant in our Teen Program at the Honickman Learning Center and Comcast Technology Labs, even editing a teen-run community newspaper.  He is currently a Temple student and a freelance writer.  His work has appeared in many different online and print publications.

We are pleased to provide this link to a recent article of his, published on The Huffington Post.  He reflects on the experience of voting for the first African American president.
