Project HOME Awarded Support to Study Supportive Housing

Project HOME was one of four national applicants awarded technical assistance from the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) to study the prospects of the Pay for Success model in providing funding for supportive housing in Philadelphia.

Pay for Success is "a contracting and financing model that leverages philanthropic and private dollars to fund services up front, with the government or other entity paying after initiatives generate results," per CSH.

Together with the City and provider partners including but not limited to Pathways to Housing – PA, Horizon House, and Bethesda Project, Project HOME will work with CSH to determine the feasibility of utilizing Pay for Success to sustain supportive housing for people with histories of homelessness and use of public systems in the interest of bringing down the attendant costs.

Recipients will receive technical assistance from CSH, the Center for Health Care Strategies, and Third Sector Capital Partners valued at nearly $100,000 and will have 18 months to develop and determine the feasibility of a Pay for Success model to create the supportive housing they envision.
