[NEWS] New campaign hopes to lower city's homeless population

From KYW1060:

LaToya Singleton is one of five formerly homeless people who are about to become Philly famous.

Their photos and messages of hope will appear in ads posted on 70 transit shelters throughout Center City, as part of Project HOME and Center City District's new homeless outreach campaign.

"If it's just one person who sees my picture and says, 'You know what, those words speak to me, that smile speaks to me. It doesn't have to end here for me,' " Singleton explained, "you know, and just start to rebuild."

The posters provide information about several Center City locations where those in need can get meals and services, according to Center City District President and CEO Paul Levy.
