That’s another successful Race HOME in the books!

This past Saturday, more than 200 participants dressed in their best 1980s outfits took to Kelly Drive to participate in the 4th Annual Race HOME, presented by Pennsylvania Apartment Association. They ran, jogged, walked, and strolled, cheered on by even more spectators.

The race was a celebration of 35 years of Project HOME, complete with a throwback theme in honor of our founding in 1989. The whole event highlighted the importance of physical and mental wellness for those experiencing homelessness and the impact overall health has on the journey toward permanent, supportive housing.

The men’s division was won by Joseph Welch with a winning time of 18:55, the women’s division was pace by Julie Platt with a winning time of 19:42, and Maeve O. won the under-16 division with a winning time of 25:52.

Thanks to our amazing participants and community, we raised more than $75,000!

We couldn’t have done it would our Rising Leaders Committee and amazing sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor, Pennsylvania Apartment Association; Starting Line Sponsor, Philadelphia Nut Butter Company; Finish Line Sponsor, Hvostal Group; Champion Sponsors, Vynamic, and Michael J. Morris; Hydration Sponsors: Clayman Family Foundation, ADTHEORENT\Health, a Cadent Company; Merrill Lynch; and, many more.

And of course, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you for making the 4th Annual Race HOME such a success. We can’t wait to see you at the starting line for our 5th Annual Race HOME next fall!
