Artists For All Seasons

Ernest Volpe

Come see the work of Project HOME artists at a new show at Drexel.

We are eagerly looking forward to tomorrow night, when the latest Project HOME art show open.  Our “Artists For All Season” has its grand opening and reception on Wednesday, October 26, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Drexel University’s URBN Center, 3501 Market Street.  This show is a partnership with Drexel University, and will feature drawings, painting, and photos by several Project HOME artists who have been part of our Art Program.

“The Project HOME Art Program helps to empower formerly homeless individuals, as well as low-income families, to express their journeys through art and reach their fullest potential,” says Rachel Ehrgood, Art Program Manager. Several of the artists will be on hand, including our four featured artists, Mary Crawford, James Webster, Kevin Pierce, and Eddie Covert (see their work below). All works at the show are for sale.

A special thanks to the shows sponsors, Jay and Bonnie Eisner and Drexel University, and the show’s supporters, The Young Leaders Committee of Project HOME.  President John A. Fry and Dean of Drexel’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design Allen Sabinson will be in attendance, as will Project HOME co-founders Sister Mary Scullion and Joan Dawson McConnon.

The show will be on display at the URBN Center until November 9.

Here is a sample of some of the pieces you will see at the Drexel Show:

Kevin Pierce, "Blue Vase"
