Harrisburg, Come Back to Work for Housing

The 2013-14 Pennsylvania legislative session ends on November 30, but the House and Senate are leaving on October 15 with unfinished business. Â Our state elected officials are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Housing Trust Fund.

Email your senator and representative TODAY to express your disappointment and dismay that they are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Pennsylvania Housing Trust Fund. Ask them to  come back to work in November and move HB 2434 and SB 1380 so that Pennsylvanians don’t have to stay in their cars or on the streets in the harsh winter months.

We know how to solve these problems. The Housing Trust Fund (also known as PHARE, the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement Fund) is a success in counties with shale wells. Let’s build on that success NOW and make the Housing Trust Fund statewide.
