Every little bit counts to help Vote for Homes! mobilize voters. 

With your help, we can continue to meet our collective goals:

Join Vote for Homes in our ongoing effort to mobilize voters by learning about how to support the voting rights of people who are low-income, homeless, living with disabilities, or formerly incarcerated.
We hosted three voter mobilization training sessions for the November Election at Project HOME, 1515 Fairmount Ave., Philadelphia 19130.
Fund the Fund
The 2013-14 Pennsylvania legislative session ends on November 30, but the House and Senate are leaving on October 15 with unfinished business.  Our state elected officials are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Housing Trust Fund.
 
Email your senator and representative TODAY to express your disappointment and dismay that they are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Pennsylvania Housing Trust Fund.
WE DID IT! Health care coverage will now be available for over 600,000 uninsured Pennsylvanians thanks to your efforts!
 
In the late summer, the Federal Government approved a revised version of Healthy PA. They took our comments into consideration and ended up adopting more than 80% of them!

The Vote for Homes! Coalition created a nonpartisan Voters Guide for the 2014 Pennsylvania Governors race which was published in the September issue of One Step Away. Pennsylvania's gubernatorial candidates, Tom Corbett and Tom Wolf, were asked to provide 75-word answers to our questions regarding critical issues: Ending Homelessness, Affordable Housing, Economic Recovery & Jobs, General Assistance, Prison Release & Homelessness, and Health Care. We will host three remaining voter registration training sessions at Project HOME, 1515 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia 19130 in preparation for the November 4 General Election:
In this challenging budget year, please join us in sending a clear message to our elected officials in Harrisburg: we need to reinvest in housing, schools, health care, and human services. Quality services save costs over the long term, create jobs, and attract families, visitors, and businesses to Pennsylvania.  Encourage your elected officials to raise needed revenue, fund the PA Housing Trust Fund, and expand Medicaid.

Fund the Fund
Help secure funding for the Pennsylvania Housing Fund! With $25 million, the PA Housing Trust Fund can provide rental assistance to 2,500 households, or demolish 2,500 blighted homes, or keep people out of costly nursing homes by providing 1,700 home modifications.
 
 Vote YES on Question ONE: The Minimum Wage Ballot Measure
