Protect Access to Healthcare

Email your Congressperson to protect healthcare and vote against the Cassidy-Graham Affordable Care Act Repeal Bill! There are two critical efforts underway that need your attention.

This week we went to Washington, along with thousands from across the country, to tell Congress to protect Medicaid and increase funding for homeless services.
Tell Your US Senators to Protect Medicaid!

Congress is considering unfair changes that will leave hundreds of millions without healthcare. Medicaid is at most risk in these negotiations. It is critical, now more than ever, that our voices are heard, and that our legislators know we pay attention and we care about our healthcare.

Affordable housing matters to all of us. Every person has a story of coming home, staying home, or losing home. And losing home is one of the hardest stories of all. In today's political climate, affordable housing has been treated as a luxury rather than a human right and important part of dignity and self-worth. The need for affordable housing in Philadelphia is tremendous and growing every day. Share your story of why affordable housing matters to you by clicking the Share My Story button on this page.

Are you concerned about the proposed Federal Budget’s impact on people in your community?

Please email all your Federal elected officials and urge them to protect housing, healthcare, and essential services in this budget.

Day Without A Woman

Many people are taking action on International Women’s Day on March 8 as part of the “A Day Without a Woman” campaign  – a movement for equity, justice and the human rights of women and all gender-oppressed people, through a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.

In honor of International Women’s Day, the Project HOME Community is gathering for a noon potluck to celebrate and honor the struggle of women in our community.

The Philadelphia Homeless Memorial Day Planning Committee is reaching out to you to help gather the names of homeless and formerly homeless women, men, and children who died in 2015 (and since last year’s remembrance on 12/18/14). This year’s Homeless Memorial Day will take place on Wednesday, December 21. The location is Thomas Paine Plaza and the time is 5:00 p.m. Please join us.
