Project HOME’s individual and group volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. These opportunities directly honor the volunteer program’s mission, which is to engage the community in our work through building capacity, broadening engagement, and bridging the gaps in our society to comprehensively support Project HOME in establishing concrete solutions to ending homelessness and poverty. Join us!

Our corporate and donor volunteer packages include t-shirts and important Project HOME and volunteer program information for your team! We will also highlight your group on our website as a thank-you for your incredible partnership and support of Project HOME’s work and mission

Many corporations and groups throughout the city and beyond volunteer at Project HOME. We invite you to bring your staff or group to Project HOME for an afternoon of engagement, available Monday-Friday from January through October. Please note that we are most likely to accommodate a corporation volunteer request with 2-3 months’ notice prior to the desired volunteer date.

Below is a list of opportunities. Click on each opportunity to learn more!

Understanding the day-to-day reality of poverty is important for everyone involved in breaking the cycles of poverty and homelessness. During this simulation, you will role-play the lives of low-income families, including single parents, people with disabilities, and senior citizens on Social Security.  The task is to survive by interacting with community resources and live experiences many of those we serve at Project HOME have faced. Broaden your awareness as well become inspired for involvement in future societal change.

We invite our partners to help our Project HOME community in the most fundamental of ways by providing necessary in-kind donations. Host a donation drive for necessary items, come to Project HOME to package them, and take a tour of a site where these donations will be put to immediate use by those who need it most.

When residents move into Project HOME, they often have few or none of the necessities for they need. Our residents, especially at our safe haven residences, are always in special need of new bedding, pillows, and blankets, and drives specifically for these items are greatly appreciated. Help them start their journey toward empowerment and independence.

Help serve our Project HOME community by providing, preparing, and serving a meal to one of our residence sites. The provision and service of a meal to formerly homeless men and women strengthens a sense of community and enhances our mission by highlighting the transformational power of building relationships. Residents love culinary complexities as much as pizza and cookies, so feel free to be creative or go with an old favorite!
