Assistant Manager - Kate's Place

Kate's Place is a residential building with 144 safe and affordable efficiency apartments for low to moderate income adults in Center City . The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Manager will be to assist the Residential Manager with day-to-day administrative and management duties and to supervise the reception staff.  Specifically, the duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: leasing of the building, including marketing and processing tenant move-ins and move-outs; act in a supervisory role to front desk staff and ensure appropriate levels of customer service to all Kate's Place tenants and applicants; handle day-to-day administrative duties as they relate to security, maintenance, and general management of the building; and order and track office supplies.  All duties are to be conducted in an independent manner, with attention to detail, accuracy and a high level of professionalism.  Qualified candidates must have an A.A. Degree in a relevant area of study and a minimum of 2 years building management experience or a HS diploma and a minimum of 4 years building management experience; along with 2-3 years administrative office experience; 2 years supervisory experience; good organizational skills; ability to work well with a wide variety of people; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills (experience working with Excel, Access, Word, email, internet); ability to adapt to changing work assignments and to function effectively in a high pressure short deadline environment; prior experience with HUD and/or PHFA properties and regulations preferred; and property management experience preferred. Schedule: Saturday and Tuesday - Friday 11a-7p; Location: 1929 Sansom Street , Philadelphia PA
