Ask your Legislators to Reverse the SSI Cuts

FEBRUARY 2, 2010

You’ve probably been hearing about the recent cuts to SSP (the State Supplemental Payment to SSI). The $22 million in cuts will impact some 340,000 elderly or disabled Pennsylvanians, who will lose $5-10 off their already fixed income. We are encouraging people to contact their legislators, let them know that this hurts vulnerable citizens, and that you want them to restore the payments.
